Description:

Schaefer Ranchwear is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associate
in the Pearland area that will help us grow and carry on the traditions developed
over more than 30 years as "America's Finest Ranchwear".

Schaefer Ranchwear was established in 1982. Garments are assembled at a family
owned factory. We are one of the last US based designers and manufacturers of
genuine Ranchwear for everyone. Our products are staples for farmers, ranchers,
rodeo people, and more. Every garment is authentic and crafted on the same
machines that have been used for generations.


Responsibilities:

As the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for the
following, but not limited to:

• Pick, pull, ship customer orders on all Schaefer products offered with accuracy
within specified time frames and company standards.

• Track shipments and freight charges via the internet and bill correctly.

• Receive product into the computer system and bin or ship as the system indicates.

• Accept responsibility for receiving, storing, transferring or returning any item and keeping warehouse organized per company standards.

• Accurately maintaining all documents to support the receiving, storing,
distribution, transferring or returning of any items.

• Operate warehouse handling equipment, including forklifts and hydraulic
machinery in the safety approved manner.

• Load and unload delivery trucks as well as Pick up/deliver as assigned.

• Make sound decisions and willing to be held accountable and responsible for
all duties assigned.

• Establish and maintain all open lines of communication between all employees
to promote a healthy supporting work environment.

• Maintain and project a professional attitude and appearance at all times.

• Respect others department daily duties and assist other employees when needed.

• Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain clean and safe work environment.

• Assist in the physical count of all inventory items as directed and also at the
end of each fiscal period.

• Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and procedures


Qualifications:

• Six months recent experience in a similar position.

• Computer literate.

• Valid driver's license.

• Physical ability to lift, shift, and carry up to 50 pounds as required.

• Experience in using material handling equipment.

• Physical ability to stand and walk throughout the work day.

• Ability to read, write and speak the English language in order to perform all
work functions adequately.

• Basic knowledge of and familiarity with warehouse computer equipment and
their operating systems.

• Knowledge of/experience with reference sources and materials such as
manufacturer manuals, books, internet and the ability to effectively use such materials.

• High School Diploma Minimum


Currently this is a seasonal position with the potential for full time.

Once considered full time, vacation and health and dental benefits are available
after the first month.


Salary:    $27,000-30,000
